What does a split AC installation involve?
The technician fixes the indoor unit on a wall bracket, makes a hole through the wall for the pipes, and places the outdoor unit on a stand or a firm base. They connect the copper pipes, drain pipe and wiring, remove air and moisture from the pipes with a vacuum pump, check for leaks, and run the AC to check the cooling.

What the installation covers

Why the vacuum and the drain slope matter
A new split AC usually carries its gas in the outdoor unit. The pipes and indoor coil are full of air and moisture until they are vacuumed. If that air is left in, the AC cools less and the moisture can harm the compressor over time.
The drain pipe must fall the whole way from the indoor unit to where it ends. A pipe that rises or sags in the middle holds water, and that water comes back out of the indoor unit into the room.
Before the technician comes
Keep a power socket of the right rating near where the indoor unit will go, as given in the AC's manual. Heavy ACs need a proper socket and wiring, not an extension board. Make sure there is a safe place for the outdoor unit with room for air to flow, and that you have permission if it goes on a shared wall or roof.
Extra copper pipe, a stand, or a longer drain pipe can add to the cost. The technician tells you what your site needs and the price before fitting. If you are not sure whether you need a stabiliser, read do you need a stabiliser for an AC.

Questions
Do you uninstall and reinstall ACs when people move house?
Yes. The technician pumps the gas down into the outdoor unit before disconnecting, so it is not lost. At the new place the AC is fitted, vacuumed and tested like a new installation.
Do you install window ACs?
Yes. A window AC needs a firm frame in a window or wall opening, with the unit tilted slightly towards the outside so water drains out and not into the room.
Is the brand's own installation free?
Some brands include installation with a new AC. Check your bill or the brand's offer before you book us, so you do not pay twice.
