Front load faults we see most
A front load machine is sealed with a rubber door gasket and drains through a pump with a small filter, usually behind a flap at the bottom front. Coins, hair clips and lint collect in that filter. A blocked filter is one of the most common reasons a front loader stops draining or stops mid-cycle.
Other common faults are a torn door gasket that leaks, a door lock that will not release, worn drum bearings that make a loud roar during spin, and a faulty heater that leaves clothes cold. The technician checks the machine and tells you which part has failed before repairing it.
IFB microwaves
Many IFB microwaves are convection models that bake and grill as well as heat. If the microwave runs but food stays cold, the fault is in the heating circuit. If grilling or baking stops but heating works, the heater or its control is the likely cause.

We are not IFB's authorised service centre. If your appliance is under IFB's warranty, check with IFB's own service first. For older machines, book a visit and agree the price before any work.
Questions
Can I clean the drain filter on my IFB front loader myself?
Yes, if you are careful. Put a tray and towels down first, as water comes out. Open the small flap at the bottom front, unscrew the filter slowly, clean it and screw it back tight. If you are not sure, we can do it during a visit.
My IFB front loader smells bad. Is it broken?
Usually not. Smell comes from detergent and dirt left in the gasket and drum. Running a hot drum-clean cycle and wiping the gasket helps. Our guide on washing machine smell explains more.
Why does my IFB machine shake hard during spin?
An uneven load is the most common reason. If it shakes even with a balanced load, the shock absorbers or the bearings may be worn.
